Mix with The Masters - My time with Tchad Blake in the South of France

I’ve been so busy since I got back from France, but the truth is, I’ve also been putting off the big update. I’m still overwhelmed with appreciation and can’t believe how generous people were in supporting the next evolution of my dream career. I get emotional letting the thoughts just barely touch my gray matter.

It’s also difficult to explain what we did. 20 of us made our way to the south of France from all over the world where we sat in this ancient building that contained a beautiful recording studio where we spent 10am to ~10pm listening, discussing, and observing the INCREDIBLE @tchad_blake create works of art right in front of our ears (and eyes, I suppose), sharing with us his philosophies, tastes, tricks, idiosyncrasies, humor, and straight up passion for music.

While I was comfortable with where I am in the journey of my performance, production, and mix career, I was newer to the mixing world than some of the amazing producers and engineers, which was fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for. The community we developed was as satisfying as anything. We are staying in touch and sharing what we’ve been learning along the way even as time goes on.

I have to give a shout out to my good friend, Buddy Gill who made his way to St Remy De Provance to join in on the learning experience. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I also want to thank my sweetheart, @paigedechausse , for supporting me in taking my production to a whole new level. I CERTAINLY couldn’t have done it without YOU. Next time, we go to France together!

Feel free to ask me questions if you’re curious about the experience. Tchad could not have been more amazing.

As I continue to gather my thoughts, I’ll post more. For now, I’m still riding high!
